School Charity Announced

We’re delighted to announced our chosen charity for this year, Candlelighters, which provides essential services and support to children with cancer and their families. The children loved meeting Candlelighters fundraiser, Jen, in a special assembly where they learnt more about the charity. We are all excited to come up with some fabulous fundraising ideas.

Superhero Fun

This term Reception and Year 1 have had a fun project learning all about Superheros. Activites included a fun Forest School where they build dens and created Superhero stickmen, and a special fancy dress day where the children took part in a Red Cross first aid lesson.

Harvest Festival Assembly

Well done to all the children for the wonderful Harvest Festival assembly where they recited poems and sang some lovely songs to celebrate this time of year. We were also overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents for providing food for the Ilkley Food Bank.

The High Sheriff Pays a Visit

We were treated to a special visit from the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire, who is the Queen’s legal representative in the county. The children were fascinated to learn about his role in the community.
