GREAT INSPECTION REPORT FOR A GREAT SCHOOL!
Staff and children are celebrating a glowing Inspection Report
Staff and pupils at Westville House School are celebrating this week after receiving a glowing inspection report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
The high achieving independent school underwent a full compliance and education quality inspection before Christmas and was praised by inspectors, deeming the quality of pupils’ personal development to be excellent.
The report stated: ”Pupils of all ages display consistently high levels of self-esteem and self-confidence and pupil behaviour is excellent.” The report went on to praise the quality of the pupils’ academic achievements.
Mrs Nikki Hammond, appointed Headteacher in April 2108, said “I was so pleased that during their few days in the school the inspectors gained an understanding of what makes Westville House such a special place. I am delighted that in the category of pupil personal development Westville House is ranked as excellent. English and maths are noted as particular strengths, which is a testament to the children’s strong numeracy, written and language skills. The report reflects extremely well on the children and the positive, family atmosphere within the school.”
Mrs Hammond continued “It gives the staff and I great pleasure to see the children develop and we look forward to building on this report and enhancing the outstanding education we deliver at Westville.”
Mention was also made in the report of “strong governance, leadership and management having played a significant role in ensuring the success of the school.”
Mr Adam Holdsworth, Chair of Governors, expressed his delight “We are enormously proud of the hard work by the children and staff, and feel this has been reflected in a superb inspection report.”
