Mrs Cavell and Form 3 enjoyed a fantastic geography field trip visiting the River Wharfe at its source, Linton Falls and The Strid within the Bolton Abbey Estate.

The weather was kind and a wonderful day out in beautiful Wharfedale!

F1 began their topic on plants this week with Mrs Naylor.

They started the lesson by using their soil from last week to plant radish seeds, before revising the names of the parts of flowering plants and their functions.

The children enjoyed 'planting' some broad bean seeds in a bag with a damp paper towel. Hopefully the bags will enable us to observe the process of germination - if they don't get distracted by the beautiful view!
