In a family orientated school like Westville House, it is essential for parents not only to feel welcome, but to want to join with fellow parents to help to make the school the success that it is.
Parental Contribution cannot be underestimated and is massively valued by the staff, governors and children alike.
Westville House has a lively, dynamic, loyal and exceedingly enthusiastic Parents Committee. Whilst their goal is one of fundraising for all those little (or not so little) extras, as a team they have great fun in creating a programme of events each year with something for everyone.
There are fun activities for the children, family days, quiz nights, shopping and sports events along with the ever popular Summer Ball.
The Parents Committee provide invaluable support in costume making for the school plays and the widely anticipated Ilkley Carnival and have enormous fun seeing their ideas come to fruition
Whatever skill you have as a member of the parent body please get involved – whatever you can do – be it face painting at a fun day, or baking for a match tea - you will be a much valued asset and will be playing a vital role in your child’s school.
