Westville House School is a Christian School and we have an assembly every morning. In our multi-cultural society, it is essential that all the children learn to understand and respect other cultures and religions.
Respect, manners and tolerance are of great importance in the school and are emphasised throughout. The children’s sense of justice, morality and fairness are developed and their attitudes and feelings are explored to help their natural and healthy development.
All our children have a daily experience of community responsibility. This ranges from education about the environment – closely linked with our existing Eco-Schools initiative – to raising funds for one of a number of charities through the charity Bazaars which are organised by the children themselves as well as other fund raising events.
Westville House School takes part in other community events such as the Ilkley Carnival and our fantastic full sized multi-purpose hall is used out of school hours by other schools, sports clubs and cultural organisations.
